Student Facilities
Accommodations
You will love Qwanoes' Pacific Woods Lodge. From the gorgeous wood beams in the entryway to the view of the forest or ocean from the window seat in your room, you’ll feel relaxed and inspired while staying here.
Each fir-trimmed room is shared by up to four students and has its own bathroom, shower, phone with voice mail, and high-speed internet connections. Long-distance phone calls must be made with personal phone cards which are available at most local convenience stores. Room furnishings include beds, dressers, a closet, and a desk and chair for each student. Computers and stereos are welcome, but televisions and kitchen appliances are not permitted. Students are welcome to bring their own cars, which will be parked in a lighted lot on the main Qwanoes site.
There are coin-operated laundry facilities available in the lodge, as well as a dozen payphones and several email stations that will help you stay in touch with family and friends back home. Snail mail is delivered to student boxes and sent out daily from Qwanoes.
All meals are provided by Camp Qwanoes, whether on-site or during out-trips, and students will often share the dining room with Qwanoes staff, retreats, and guest groups.
The Qwanoes kitchen serves quality home-style meals and snacks, and seeks to offer a healthy variety of foods. We accommodate vegetarians and those with special dietary needs.
Classroom and Lounge
The spacious classroom and lounge that the Kaléo program uses has a great view of the water and includes a small library, study area, and multiple computer terminals.
