Student Life

This building is the main location that students become familiar with. Beginning with a welcoming foyer, the building houses dormitory-style student residences on the middle and top floors, along with Student Life Assistants in each hall. On the bottom floor of this building is the Fireside Lounge, which is a classroom and chapel location, and has the leaders’ offices, library, laundry facilities, storage, and several study spaces

The largest of the student lounges in Pacific Woods Lodge, it is a location for our regular chapels and classes, and a collaborative study and hangout space overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Adjacent to this lounge is the Student Life Assistant office, where students are welcome to spend time to connect and receive study help.

Located above Sky Ridge Lodge, the dining hall serves all meals to students and the Camp Qwanoes staff, prepared by our dedicated food services team. There are shared microwave and student fridges available for storing labelled personal food items. A coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar is available during opening hours for staff and students.

Club Coco is a large multi-purpose room above Camp Qwanoes’ front office. It is most often used by Kaléo as the primary classroom, chapel, and special-event venue. Its personal atmosphere fosters a close-knit classroom feel, complete with a fireplace for classes on cold days!

These aren’t your typical college program views! Camp Qwanoes Beach is a beautiful property that students can enjoy, sitting in God’s creation as a place for study and devotion, looking out to Salt Spring Island. Swimming is only permitted while lifeguards are on duty.
