Ministry Experience

The Kaléo program emphasizes “learning and doing” by providing students with opportunities to apply their learning on an ongoing basis through camp ministry, church ministry, and missions. 

Camp ministry

After completing a course in Camp and Youth Ministry, students assist in running camp retreats. Serving as camp counsellors, in food services, or as activity leaders, students will help make a difference in a camp ministry setting. 

Church ministry

While taking a course in Foundations of Church Ministry, students have the opportunity to serve in a local church throughout the year. Students may join worship teams, help lead youth groups, or participate in children’s ministry, all while growing as active participants in their local churches. 

Missions

Students have numerous opportunities to participate in local outreach events throughout the year. Students will also hear from mission organizations in preparation for their cross-cultural mission trips.
